I watched the movie Happy Feet yesterday and today, and there wasn’t a plot - it didn’t need it. But what it did need was better animation of the different tap moves. The feet looked the same whether you heard a flap, a stomp, a step - kinda disheartening if you can tell the difference. I told my dad about it, who promptly said, “Five year olds won’t care.” Which is true, yes, but if you make a movie about tap dancing, you gotta know that someday, someone who just loves watching good tap dancing will watch your movie. It was also choreographed by Savion Glover, which I feel like, if you don’t do his feet justice, that’s a waste of a feet porsche. I want to post more tap viddys. I will.
