THROW IT OUT
I am in the midst of a clean - I finally went through the box my old work sent me (which was 90% not my stuff) and tossed / recycled what I could. I am now trying to go through some of my older piles and chuck stuff. Generally streamline and be a bit further away from the border with Hoarders-ville.
Part of my issue in doing this is that I have nearly all my HS and college stuff - papers, books, notebooks, projects etc, here in my apartment in New York. My parents were planning on moving (and downsizing) right after I got my apartment here, so my dad insisted on bringing every box of shit he thought was mine when they drove me the furniture that I got from them.
For some of the stuff, like my college books, I am going through and going to try to find a website to sell them through. The more personal stuff - papers, notebooks - stuff I want to keep as physical evidence of my past self and experiences, but also stuff will probably never look through.
What do you do with stuff like that?
haha - That’s stuff I normally leave in my mom & dad’s attic or one of the sheds… I guess yours got wise to our kid tricks.
