I hung out with my sister Swiss last night - she is going to Italy for half the month, so I am trying to get in what time I can.  We went to see this band she’s wanted to see for a long time, The 88 (They rock; I will attach a video so you can see them do this.).

Anyway, so they’re on the stage, and we’re all excited - I haven’t been to a concert in a while, and Swiss is superpumped because she’s been waiting to see them live, but they’re a CA band so they’re never here, and never this cheap - and there’s a hush as they start.

And then the lead singer gets all into the song like so fiercely amped up that it looks like he’s going to bust out of his face from excitement and at the same time, it’s like a Muppet singing a song - kinda strange and ridiculous, but so excited about what is going on that it’s infectuous. People start bobbing along, and after a while, it was like, yeah, that’s just how this dude sings.

He was in his zone, and it just illustrated to me in a moment how it’s cool to be yourself.

Even if you’re a little weird.
