‘Proper Haberdashery for Social Functions with a Lady’
“When attending a social function with a lady that does not require a white necked bow-tie, a gentleman is expected to don a tailored hat at all times. While certain events and promenades require particular hats, a gentleman cannot go wrong in showing his practicality and flair for fashion with a bowler hat. It is advised that the bowler hat be limited in the amount of notions adorned on its brim.”
