On the way home tonight, a dog owner apologized, pulling back her dog that was barking at me.  I barked back at it.  It barked back even more.  I yipped, “Ok! Ok! You win!” And the owner burst out laughing. That was my favorite walk home ever. Or at least a close tie with the time I drunk high-fived a stranger in the middle of the street.  Or possibly that night I found five dollars, bought a lotto ticket, won $30, and took Swiss out for midnight waffles.

I love snow. It feels pure, innocent, kind. I think that’s why they call it a blanket. Why I want to, anyway.
