Inspired by the quote from Sufjan Stevens…
When I first moved to New York, I would hang out in the big 42nd Street Library because it was both air-conditioned (unlike my then hot as balls windowless bedroom) and because it was in the city when I was running around from job interview to audition without a place to go for those awkward 1-2 hours. And I remember picking up Mark Twain’s letters to kill time while I was there, and being amazed...
Which lead to a monumental (and misguided) excursion to New York City, in the...

Nicest thing all week
I was on my way into the 23rd st 6 train stop tonight - it’s pouring down rain. I am soaked. I hear the train in the station and I get my card out - I’m gonna make it! And I swipe and slam up against the turnstile but my crushed chest is another embarrassing casualty of the too fast swipe. I was like, ahhh crap, because I heard that ding of the doors while I was reswiping it and I...

im spreading myself too thin. something has gotta go.
My apartment’s messy because when I get home late the last thing I want to do is clean.
I don’t know how Swiss puts up with me sometimes. I keep the common areas super super clean just to make up for how you need to swim through my clothes to get to my bed.
You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.

What is a well-known song about a garden? This would be used in a tv commercial for a classy garden, so no “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.”
What about “Secret Garden” by Bruce Springsteen? Worked for Jerry Maguire.
Fake desk
rubysneakers:
I just set up a fake desk so that I can sit up and do work on my laptop at home. It’s got shelves for a couple notebooks, pens and I will be leaving my phone there so it’s not down in my bag in my room at the bottom of my purse.
Trying to finally move on and get a handle on myself, post fire-ing.
I can give you a couple spreadsheets next time I see you.
Oh, there's UFOs.
I’ve flipped past that google pic twice now and was all like, “is that a picture of HG Wells’s hometown? They could have done better than that…”
It makes much more sense now.

Blog #156: Kanye Ruins Teenagers’ Treasured Moments
(To view the blog click here)
Kanye is a jerk-i-nator. Although I highly doubt people would have got as angry at him if Taylor Swift was not a teenager or as attractive as she is. That being said, he ruins other teen’s lives… and I’ve written scripts for some of those moments.
One of my favorite Swayze moments: Chippendales dancers. RIP man.

Funny or Die: MA Men. Joey Joe McIntyre and a Wonderland Race Track reference? I’m in Beantown heaven.
It was really fun to hear these accents in person over the weekend. Also, I am glad Dunkin’ Donuts was represented because it was EVERYWHEREEEEEEEEE. I swear, they outnumbered the Starbucks which is terribly difficult.

My bus stopped today at exactly when the first tower was hit. We froze in remembrance. Then all the busses in NYC moved again.
I feel like this was a micro version of what it is to heal from anything. To know what it is, take time to think on it, and then to move on.
